Day of Mourning 2014: Remembering People With Disabilities Murdered by Caregivers

Pioneer Courthouse Square

On Saturday, March 1st, the disability community will gather across the nation to remember disabled people murdered by their family members or caregivers. In the past five years, over forty people with disabilities have been murdered by their parents or caregivers. Ten more people have been lost since last year.

We gather to share our support for people with disabilities and for people to live, free of fear and violence. We will begin to gather at 5:50 pm and begin to keep vigil at 6:00 pm.
