What is World AIDS Day? On December 1st 2013 – around the world and throughout the United States – communities will come together to mark World AIDS Day, taking time to ensure we not only recognize the 25 million individuals lost to HIV and AIDS, but the 33 million global citizens living with the HIV virus today.~CAP
Though we are working toward “GETTING TO ZERO WITH ONE PERSON AT A TIME”, we will be celebrating the awareness on December 5th at Portland State University with one beauty at a time walking the runway at the Grand Ballroom introducing Portland’s Best models, designers, artists, and talents in styles. This is an event involving the support of our local communities including Portland State University, Multnomah County Health, Abibat Durosimi with Tabiba Styles, stylist for Portland Fashion Week; Sarah Giffrow with Upswept Creative, nominee for best fashion photographer with PFSA2013; Amrapali, featured designer with 2013 Portland Fashion Week; Cindy Ayala, emerging designer for upcycled wear; Jacky Tài designer for Thuy Nga Productions; Alia Lux passionate designer for authentic African heritage and modern trends, and many talented models, artists and businesses.
