IN OTHER WORDS FEMINIST COMMUNITY CENTER PRESENTS REEL FEMINISM
To celebrate Black History Month, our February film highlights women leaders of the 1950s and 1960s Civil Rights Movement.
“STANDING ON MY SISTERS’ SHOULDERS,” produced by Joan Sadoff, Dr. Robert Sadoff and Laura J. Lipson, is an award-winning film recounting the lives of women who rose to become grass-roots leaders in the Civil Rights Movement and the first black women allowed into the U.S. Senate chambers in nearly 100 years.
Admission is sliding scale $5-$10 with anything over $5 going directly to support IOW.
