The Women of Color Action Team Presents: Resisting Violence in Communities of Color

In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month the WOC Action Team
would like to open up a dialogue with their Portland State University (PSU)
colleagues about ways they can resist violence in diverse communities.
It’s an opportunity to come together and not just talk about the problem,
but find solutions and engage in activism. Come join the conversation with guest speakers:  Walidah Imarisha is a Black Studies professor at PSU and an activist in Portland. S. Renee Mitchell has contributed to the empowerment of marginalized groups in Portland. She is the co-founder of Healing Roots Center an organization that advocates for women of color.
