Lift Every Voice: The Black LGBTQ Oregon Experience

On National Coming Out day PFLAG Portland Black Chapter and the Urban League of Portland will host an event to celebrate the collaboration of these two social justice organizations.  Black PFLAG and ULPDX have partnered on a community survey which would lift the voices of the Black Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer community.  We collected stories and  surveys that highlight the unique experiences of the Black LGBTQ community.  We invite you to the release of Lift Every Voice.

We know that to be more politically engaged we need more information.  On National Coming Out Day we will share this incredible report, celebrate community leaders doing the work every day, and take steps towards making all of our families stronger. We thank our sponsors and organizational supporters:  Basic Rights Oregon, Our Families, Western States Center, Pride NW , Multnomah County Health Department, Cascade AIDs Project, and the June Key Delta House.
Join them on October 11th 2012 at the June Key Delta House.
